Three ways to create a perfect holiday hairstyle

From your home to holiday outings, it’s all about staying stress-free. Tessa visits Manny Guerrero at MG Salon in Sugar Land to learn how to achieve three holiday-ready hairstyles.

Using Dry shampoo and a texture spray will create a fresh canvas even days after washing.

1. At-home blowout

You’ll need a round brush (or three) and a hair dryer for maximum volume. Use a lot of tension for a smooth finish like you just walked out of the salon.

2. Effortless curls

Use your blowout as a base for effortless curls. Manny likes to use a 1.25″ curling iron for what he calls the perfect curls. The featured style includes curls going away from your face. If your clamp is facing the mirror before grabbing hair, then you’re doing it right.

3. Holiday Updo

Transform your curls into a beautiful updo. Spray a brush with hairspray and brush your hair back as if you’re about to put it into a ponytail. Twist it back and bring the hair in. Tuck the hair inside the updo and bobby pin in place. Elevate the style by leaving your bangs out to frame your face or placing a clip on the side.
