Party etiquette to get you through the holidays

Tis’ the season for holiday parties. Whether you are invited to one or a guest, it is time to start brushing up on holiday etiquette.

On KPRC 2+ Now at 9 a.m., corporate and personal image consultant, Helen Perry spoke with anchors Zach Lashway and Haley Hernandez.

Here are Perry’s top guidelines for Holiday etiquette:

  1. Be other-centered
  2. A good gift represents the giver and the receiver
  3. Limit alcohol intake
  4. Be appropriate in your dress, conversation, and behavior
  5. Offer to help
  6. Pay attention
  7. Regift responsibly
  8. Decline invitations appreciatively/offer alternative lunch, coffee, etc.
  9. Tip those who serve you throughout the year
