Books AND booze!? We stopped by the โ€˜Lit BookBarโ€™ in Richmond for drinks and good reads ๐Ÿค“๐Ÿ“š๐Ÿฅƒ

RICHMOND, Texas โ€“ Bookworms, itโ€™s time to GET LIT!!!

Have you ever wanted to unwind with a good book while getting a little turned up?

I think I found your next favorite hideout right in the heart of downtown Richmond.

Introducing, the LIT BOOKBAR.

The LitBookBar, located on Jackson Street, was created after the pandemic and started out as a book club when people needed each other the most.

Owner Jillian Reed spoke with KPRC 2โ€ฒs Moriah Ballard about the concept and why she chose to open up shop in that area.

Reed said one of her favorite things about the bar is that she gets the chance to highlight local authors, like Kirsten Bird.

Bird recently released a novel entitled Watch It Burn, which showcases โ€œthree women (who) work to uncover the scorching lies and scandal behind a self-help movement, igniting a powder keg of secrets that could blow their town apart, in this suspense novel perfect for those who love Southern mystery.โ€

Reed added that she will continue to support local authors by hosting series and book signings for the community.

If you head over to the LIT BookBar, send us pictures or videos at Click2Pins.com.
