It happened on Crosby Fwy near FM 2100 a little before 2:30 a.m. when sheriff’s deputies say they found the woman and her vehicle crashed out. It’s unclear exactly how the accident happened, but initial details suggest after she crashed, the unidentified woman hit a pole before her car landed in a ditch off the roadway. From there, officials believe she got out to survey her car’s damage and fell.

It’s believed “impairment,” investigators say, might have played a role in the crash.
