Woman’s Instagram ‘hang out’ message gets NW Houston man duped, then robbed

NW HOUSTON – A woman who reached out to a NW Houston man on Instagram to come over and ‘hang out’ on Sunday may have set him up to be robbed.

The man told Constables from Precinct 4 that when the woman got to his apartment on Cypresswood Drive and Lajuana Lane, shortly after that, three men showed up, punched him in the stomach and held him at gunpoint.

They took a bag of his belongings, his television and his phone.

Investigators are circulating a picture of the woman from Ring camera video.

Harris County Precinct 4 Constable Mark Herman is asking for anyone who knows her or has information about the robbery to reach out to them.
