HOUSTON – Boston College offensive guard Christian Mahogany, a mauling blocker at the line of scrimmage and at the second level, visited the Texans, according to a league source.
The 6-foot-3, 314-pound New Jersey native has visited multiple teams, per sources. The defending AFC South champion Texans are among the NFL teams, including the hometown New York Giants, looking into the projected Day 2 draft target.

He allowed zero sacks or quarterback hits last season.
Mahogany (33 1/2 arms, 10 1/2 hands) is the latest offensive lineman from Boston College to enter the NFL as he’s poised to join former Los Angeles Chargers first-round draft pick Zion Johnson, another guard and former teammate, in the league.
Mahogany opened eyes at the NFL scouting combine when he ran the 40-yard dash in 5.13 seconds, displaying mobility throughout the draft process. He had a 1.74 10-yard split and a 32 1/2 inch vertical leap with a 4.53 short shuttle.
Mahogany excelled at the East-West Shrine Bowl all-star game.
A first-team All-Atlantic Coast Conference selection last season, Mahogany erased concerns about his surgically repaired knee. He missed the entire 2022 season with a torn anterior cruciate ligament. He was a second-team All-ACC selection in 2021.
Previously an 11-game starter at left guard, Mahogany shifted to right guard and started 33 games at that position.
Mahogany has size, power and agility working in his favor, including a heavy-handed punch at the point of attack.
He has made strides in his blocking technique, stance and footwork.
Now, he’ll find out this week where he’s going to be drafted.
