HOUSTON – This week’s KPRC 2 & UTMB Health Athlete of the Week is soccer star Mary-Charlotte Paul of Stratford High School.
With less than two minutes remaining against Tompkins, the junior captain scored the game-winning goal to keep the Spartans’ season alive. She took him district MVP, and her coach says she is the type of player her team can count on in clutch moments.
“She’s a workhorse,” Stratford soccer head coach David Walters said. “She’s got a motor, all day long. She’s physical, she’s fast, she’s got a very strong left foot, and she is a true leader on the field.”
